Learn to Curl sessions are done for the summer. Please email us if you’d like to be on the mailing list for the next Learn to Curl, which will take place in October. In the meantime, enjoy the short video below. There is also a more detailed 13 minute video on curling basics.
Do you recall watching the last Winter Olympics? Did you watch the curling competitions and did you think, “I wish that I could do that!”? Well the time to check out the sport of curling is now. There are many people in the Upper Valley who curl regularly and they want to show you how much fun it is to play the game.
The clinic costs $25 per person and is open to anyone interested in learning the sport. The club will provide all of the equipment needed to curl; you just have to wear warm clothing and bring shoes with non-skid soles. Participants will start with an off-ice introduction to the concepts and rules of the game and then move onto the ice for hands-on instruction. Attendees will need to sign a waiver form before going out on the ice. If there’s time, we may even play a game.
Space is limited, so interested participants must register in advance by sending an email to email@example.com. The last Learn to Curl sessions filled up very quickly.
What to bring
Please bring a pair of sneakers or other flat shoes with clean soles to change into before going on the ice. Do not wear them to the arena. It is important to keep dirt from outside off the ice. A hat and lightweight gloves will help keep you warm on the ice. Clothing should be comfortable and allow you to bend and move easily.
Corporate / Private Learn to Curl
Corporate or Private Learn to Curl (‘‘LTC’’) sessions will provide your group with a unique, fun team building experience. All participants are involved in every part of the game. It is a unique forum that lends itself well to private parties as well as corporate team building. We hope that you will find our guidelines helpful as you continue planning your event.
